Join us June 9-12 for the 2008 U.S. Public Health Service Scientific and Training Symposium, which will be held at the Tucson Convention Center. This annual conference brings together nearly 1,000 federal, tribal, state and local public health officials, providers, students and professors, as well as individuals involved in emergency response and disaster preparedness. Single, multi-day and full conference registrations are still available. The early bird deadline is April 30. The Symposium is open to anyone with an interest in public health. Visit www.phscofevents.org for more information or to register. Registration is free (meals not included) for full-time students.

Highlights of the Symposium will include:
• Updates on hot topics and emerging trends in public health.
• Keynote addresses by national public health leaders including the U.S. Surgeon General, the most recent past president of the American Public Health Association, the Director of the Indian Health Service; the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response and other top officials from the Department of Health and Human Services.
• Pre-conference sessions on leadership; cultural competency, bio-ethics; and more.
• Two days of tracked sessions focusing on access to health care; emergency preparedness and response; international health; and federal health care delivery programs.
• An exhibit hall with more than 100 vendors providing information on the latest products and services.
