Arizona Tech Protect Council (AzTPC) helps protect Arizona defense contractors, educational research institutions, and companies from foreign countries trying to steal government and business secrets.

AzTPC is the coordinated effort of the Air Force Office of Special Investigations (AFOSI), the Army’s 902nd Military Intelligence Group, the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), the Defense Security Service (DSS), the Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), the Department of State (DOS), the FBI’s Domain Initiative, the FBI’s InfraGard Program, the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS).

Through InfraGard’s newsletters and meetings, the AzTPC conveys counterintelligence information and security awareness education. As InfraGard promotes the AzTPC goals and objectives, it supports the FBI’s National Security Division’s Domain initiative.

Each Defense Contractor company in Arizona is encouraged to track suspicious activity and report that data to the Defense Security Service (DSS) and the other members of the AzTPC. The above link provides a form with which to record and display the following types of suspicious activity by month and by originating geographic region: 1) employment opportunities; 2) external account requests; 3) external webserver attacks; 4) foreign company located nearby; 5) foreign conferences and symposiums; 6) requests for company sensitive information; 7) requests for product/information; 8) scholarly approaches to collect scientific and technical data; 9) suspicious activity.
